Clark's Crossing / Clarkboro ferry

This is one of many ferry crossings on the South Saskatchewan River. Clarkboro is the busiest in Saskatchewan, carrying some 52,000 vehicles in 1999.

It is located close to the historical Clark's Crossing, the site of homestead John Fowler Clark which both the ferry crossing and town site (Clarkboro) were named after. The site is of great historical perspective: Major General Frederick Middleton's troops crossed the South Saskatchewan here on their way to the Battle of Fish Creek from North Battleford, during the 1885 Northwest Rebellion.
