From the Korean Peninsula Terrain Observation Deck, located across the river from the island below, the terrain has the likeness of the Korean peninsula - a miniature of Korea. The cliff on east side of the observation deck is steep where the west side is gently sloped. The thick pine woods on the walk up to the observation deck is reminiscent of the Baekdu Mountains and the similarity with Ttangkkeut village (Haenam) and Homigo (Pohang) is profound.
