The Alcazaba tunnel is a tunnel built under the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro and Mount Fortress, located in the center of Malaga, Spain. It was inaugurated on March 29, 1999 and connects the areas of the Park of Malaga and the La Malagueta with Alcazabilla Street and the Plaza de la Merced.
The tunnel has a length of 182.75 meters and a width of 16 meters arch-shaped with a central span of 9 m radius and two sides with radius of 4.82 meters.
Is heavy traffic and pedestrian sidewalks on both sides which are isolated by rails with a width of 1.85 meters. The central section consists of four lanes of 3 meters.
