historical building, Grade II Listed (UK)
Cramant Cottages were industrial worker cottages built between 1820 and 1830. They were named after Mrs. Hannah Cramant, a school-mistress who lived near here. The terrace, which was restored in the 1990s, was the sole remaining example of back-to-back houses in Leicester. However, it is now hidden behind an extension for a restaurant. SHAME! The photograph was taken in 2000.
