Salt Storage Building

Facility is located at the intersection of MD routes 155 and 161. The facility is used to store salt which the Maryland State Highway Administration uses to spread on the roads during snowy/icy road conditions. Due to the triangular shape of the salt dome, some people refer to it as the "Big Tit". The dome is often used as a landmark when giving directions to people. When traveling from Havre de Grace to Darlington you simply make a right at the Big Tit and then you are 161 which will then take you straight through downtown Darlington (all 200 feet of it).
