This neo-classic-style building was built in 1903 for the Birmingham & Provincial Bank. In 1921 the bank was sold to the Commercial Union, who inscribed their name on the building. After being left empty for some time it was purchased in 1993 by two brothers who converted it into the Cafe Bruxelles. A peculiar feature of the building is the balcony, which is inaccessible save for a leap from the window above.
