The Turkish Intervention of 1974 only happened because in 1963 the Greek Cypriot leadership attacked the Turkish Cypriot community all over the island trying to force them into agreeing to the idea that they were second class citizens in a country that they had equally created. From 1963 to 1974 Turkish Cypriots lived under constant hardships only after 1974 have the Turkish Cypriot People lived in peace free from Greek Cypriot Attack. While the TRNC is not recognized by the UN or the EU, under international law the Turkish Cypriot people are the co-founders of the Republic of Cyprus. When the Greek Cypriots illegally broke the 1960 constitution of the Republic they broke the legal constraints of the agreements and thus the Turkish Cypriot people’s right to live free and in peace without the Evil selfish heartless mass killing fascist Greek Cypriots is now being realized. In 1974 the Greek Army invaded Cyprus to over through the illegal Makarios government and install Nicos Sampson to proclaim Enosis (the Union of Cyprus with Greece). The intervention of Turkey in Cyprus stopped this from happening.

As The United Nations has not been known to follow the rules of their own charter at times, plus the more than just a few nations not bothering to follow resolutions both in the General Assembly as well as the Security Council, the UN really is not holding all that much credibility...
