Founded in 1929 by the Society of Jesus, Ricci Hall is the only catholic hostel in the University of Hong Kong. The old building was demolished in 1966 and the new building was officially opened on 8 December 1967, and was completely renovated in the summer of 1990. It has 120 single rooms.
