BC Rail only exists as a holding company, it owns the tracks between Roberts Bank and Pratt (near Langley), a distance of 38 km. This is called the BCR Port Subdivision. All rail traffic along this subdivision, which serves Westshore and Deltaport terminals and, is handled by CPR crews, and passes through this yard. Rail traffic includes CPR, CN and BNSF unit coal trains as well as CPR and CN intermodal (container) trains.
