The AN/FPS-31 radar was a UHF Ground-controlled Interception (GCI) radar that was a part of the Experimental SAGE Subsector. The Experimental SAGE Subsector (ESS) was a fully operational prototype expansion of the Cape Cod System. Two FPS-6 long range height finder radars were also installed here. The site is currently beign used as an auto repair shop.
