Currently occupied by a branch of Kentucky Fried Chicken, this building on the corner of Union St and Argyle St is still thought of by generations of Glaswegians as Boots Corner, as the chain of chemists had a branch there for many years. Long used as a meeting point for going out on a date beneath the (now long gone) clock, those who felt the bitter sting of being stood up would come to know it by the less flattering name of Dizzy Corner.
