Christian VII's Palace (Copenhagen Municipality)

Denmark / Kobenhavn / Copenhagen / Copenhagen Municipality

Built in 1750-54 for Lord High Steward Adam Gottlob Moltke, this was originally the most expensive and most extravagantly furnished of the four palaces of Amalienborg. King Christian VII moved here after losing Christiansborg Palace to fire in 1794. The building is presently used for official events and royal ceremonies.
