This five story, red brick, 100,000-square-foot Italian renaissance-style building was completed in 1903. It then served the neighborhood as P.S. 186 for 72 years, closing in 1975. It had been vacant ever since but has been adaptively reused as affordable housing and a Boys & Girls Club by Dattner Architects.
