Step well (Junagadh)

Adi-Kadi Vav (Step-well), which is part of the Uparkot fort in Junagadh. This well built in the 15th century is carved entirely out of rock. A narrow 120 steps leads to the well. What was fascinating was the various shades in the rock structures.

  • adikadi vav may be built between 10-11th century. i have read in the story of ra naughan who accupaid junagadh in ad.1025 and this vav was mentioned in the story.
