Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation. East side of Patuxent River. Reclaimed gravel pit. New (2009) ramp to slide kayak or canoe to river, at south corner of park on very steep hill, suitable for paddling access only. Two mile paved trail around perimeter of park. Couple of ponds, ball fields, rest room, parking. Main gate half mile from river generally open sunrise to sunset in good weather, but not definite. Vehicle access always blocked 450 yards from river except by special permission (410-222-7317.)
