Eisenhower Park was acquired by the city of Orange in 1969.
It is 16.46 acres of beautiful green space with shaded trees and streams.
This park features barbeques, a two structured tot-lot suitable for children ages 5-12 years old, reservable green space for birthday parties, family reunions,
company and family picnics, non-reservable picnic tables, and a lake for fishing.

This large park is perched on the southern slope of Olive Hill, and the creek that carried water from the Olive Mill runs through the park and continues underneath "Canal Street" which is south of the park. On the upper end of the park is a circular parking area with a nice play area below it. This play area has an incredible swing set with the longest chains I have ever seen on a swing. There is also another play area in the NE corner of the park. To the south is the large lake which is now cement-lined however in the past was mud. Ducks and Coots frolick happily here. About 20 years back some kids broke through some fences and locks and opened a large valve and drained the lake...it was a scandal. To the north-northwest of the lake was formerly a small zoo area with a few goats, sheep, deer, etc. The animals were harassed by rebellious youths and the city removed the animals.

There was another time when buckets of fish were added to the lake, only to discover salt water creatures must live in salt water. It was stinky the next day....lots of seagulls too.
