Appalachian Trail entrance

Stormville Mt Road. Small parking area and entrance to Appalachian Trail.

From the site:

rohland.homedns.org/at/state/state_detail/AT_state_deta...§ionID=56

"There is no parking right at the intersection, but there are parking pull-offs for several cars about 0.1-0.2 miles to the east on Grape Hollow Road and 0.1-0.2 miles to the west on Stormville Mt. Road. There is also roadside parking for a couple of cars on the other side of the overpass."

In 1998, Bill Bryson described his attempts at walking the trail in his book "A Walk in the Woods." It is a less-than-serious view of the trail, from a less-than-fit person's perspective
