Rehmani Masjid (mosque) first built by the Bakshi in 1767 CE was renovated by Abd ul Rehman in 1867. The old structure was torn down and the size was expanded to accommodate the growth of attendance in the prayer hall.
As part of the upgrade, the well in the adjoining Mahmood Square was repaired, and a second well dug and paved in Crafts Square, near the playing field adjoining Chakkar Sarak.
