Stark Park (Manchester, New Hampshire)

Stark Park is a city park located in the North End neighborhood of Manchester, NH. It is named after Revolutionary War hero, John Stark. He led the New Hampshire Regiments at the Battle Of Bunker Hill, and it was he that spoke the now famous words, "Live Free or Die: death is not the worst of evils", giving the state its motto. The park includes John Stark and his family's graves, a monument dedicated to him, cannons, and the gazebo-like Hecker-Hastings Bandstand. There is also a memorial bench dedicated to Officer Michael L. Briggs.
