Palyeongsan (Mount Palyeong) is a provincial park raising 608 meters/1995 feet above the sea and is known for its eight beautiful peaks and unusual rock and stone formations.

A recreational forest lies to the east of Palyeongsan. Yeoja Bay, an archipelago can be seen from the top of the mountain toward the back of the forested area. The forest is populated with native trees like the oriental species of oak, white oak, and painted maple. The area also supports various types of wildlife like Chinese water deer, hare, pheasant, sparrow, and roe deer.
