  • This is "the oasis in the sand dunes". This fresh water lagoon between the golden dunes of Pitangui is worth a visit. It has all facilities need to spend a whole day here. A website in Portuguese have more photos and information www.bardalagoa.com.br This lagoon is located around 24 km north of Natal. Easiest access is via BR 101 main road north from Natal. Take off the BR101 towards "Pitangui" and "Jacuma". When you enter Pitangui village, look for signs to "Lagoa Pitangui" or ask the friendly inhabitants.
