I am a first generation born East Rembo citizen, had enjoyed the green shady East Rembo during my childhood. Frequented Target Range and the 81 steps stone stairs going up the Fort Bonifacio camp formerly known as Fort William Mckinley. Original residents were military personnels who truly loved their small barrio. Young ones called older people as Uncle and Auntie. Peaceful and green. I saw a lot of progress in the Barangay, but sad to say we had forgotten to take care of the environment. 24th avenue was one of the greenest place before but had turned into a dirty street especially when Glady's Junk Shop started its operation. Glady's Linis Ganda is her sign but it is the opposite. This business brought more rats and roaches in the area. Their Karitons occupied even the sidewalks of 24th avenue. Dog poos are like little ant hills on the streets. Irresponsible dog owners! Old and young ones throw trash on the ditches. Hope the new Barangay captain pass a law about this. I believe a law can change people. I love my Barangay and I am willing to help keep it a beautiful place.
