Formerly an Arnold Constable & Co. location which was designed c. 1952 by Arthur O. Lynas with an interior by Joseph & Vladeck. It opened in December of that year. After closing, the building became a Bloomgingdale's Furniture store in 1971. It was subsequently home to the Filene's Basement discount store from 1982 until the chain went bankrupt and liquidated in 2012.

The building has since been altered extensively in 2014 to house Designer Shoe Warehouse and Nordstrom Rack on the upper level.
