Lysá hora (Polish: Łysa Góra) is 1323 meters upon sea level (4,341 ft). It's highest mountain of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids range in the Czech Republic and also of Cieszyn Silesia. It is considered the rainiest place of the country with an annual precipitation over 1,500 mm (60 in). It's 8,5 km walk from Ostravice to the Lysa hora.
The name can be translated as Bare Mountain. This name came from the fact, that Lysá hora had no trees. Lysá hora is sometimes nicknamed as the Queen of Moravian-Silesian Beskids. On its peak there is a meteorological station, a television transmitter, Mountain Rescue Service, SKI Mountain Hut, Šantán Buffet, Lysá hora Mountain Hut, and Kameňák Hostel. From the top there is a magnificent round view of whole Beskydy and even of Mala Fatra and Rohace on Slovak side.
