  • This formation of Military Engineer Services has been raised some times in 1947. Earlier it was called Garrison Engineer Kirkee and was located near the Kirkee Railway Station. In 1973 under the reorganization of MES formations it was split into two GE’s one is GE (C) Kirkee and the other one was GE (W) Kirkee and again during 1980 GE (W) Kirkee was renamed as GE (CME) Kirkee and its location was shifted from Kirkee Railway Station to Phugewadi (the present building) under CME Complex.   • This office provide services mostly to CME, the only one College of Military Engineering in India, which is a prestigious Institution. Hence it's name GE(CME) Kirkee.
