sports venue, football / soccer stadium, track and field ground
This football field and stadium is the home field for Tyler, Texas' two public highschools and for Tyler Junior College. Its advanced artificial turf also makes it a popular site for high school playoff games for regional schools. The field itself is named for Earl Campbell, aka "The Tyler Rose,"famed running back for the University of Texas and the Houston Oilers. The name reflects the sponsorship of Tyler's Trinity-Mother Francis hospital, which provided approximately $2 million for renovations.
