The Edwin E Aldrin Astronomical Center, home of the New Jersey Astronomical Association (NJAA), named in honor of New Jersey native Edwin E Aldrin, second man to walk on the moon. The large silver dome houses a 26-inch (2/3-meter) reflecting telescope on a stable, four-ton mounting anchored in bedrock. The observatory is open to the public on a regular schedule during warm-weather months.
