The New Orleans Arena is an indoor arena located adjacent to the Louisiana Superdome in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. It was constructed from February 1998 to October 1999 at a cost of $114,000,000. The arena has been the home of the NBA's New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) since 2002. It has also been home to the ECHL's New Orleans Brass from 1999-2002 and the New Orleans VooDoo of the Arena Football League from 2004-2008. The arena seats 18,500 for basketball and 16,500 for arena football and has 56 luxury suites. It has a height of 150 ft (46 m).
Among the events the New Orleans Arena has hosted are the 2001 Royal Rumble, the 2004 NCAA Women's Final Four, ArenaBowl XXI in 2007, ArenaBowl XXII in 2008, the 2008 NBA All-Star Game, and the 2012 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament.
