Formerly the Greater New Orleans Bridge

Connects the majority of New Orleans to the neighborhood of Algiers (officially part of New Orleans proper) and other west bank suburbs. Even though you must go due east across the bridge to reach it, this area is called the west bank because it is connected to the western half of the country when the river is used to split it.
The first photo shows the two spans from the MoonWalk in the French Quarter. A nice shot with one of the riverboats in the corner. The second is what motorists see each time they cross the bridge to the Westbank. The span on the left is the newer of the two and a little larger, featuring a two-lane bus/HOV lane.
