It was started in the late 1950's along the boundary with Neithrop and slowly grew throughout the 1960's and early 1970's. The former Wroxton to Banbury industrial ironstone railway marks the border between the Ruscote and Hardwick estates. The Estate is well known for it's parks and recreational areas.
