Kunissery is a small village in the Palakkad district of Kerala state, South India. It is 7 km east of Alathur. Kunissery's famous festival is Kummatti which is celebrated on the birthday of the local goddess Pookulathi on the Punartham Star of Meenam.

This is a small hamlet called Kunissery. Famous temple here is called "Sree Pookulangara Bhagavathi Temple". The main festival is "Kunissery Kummaatti", which falls on "Punartham" star in the month of "Meenam". Normally between end March to beginning April.
P.S.: Since there is no high resolution image of this place currently, the marking is based on the approximate area, taking into consideration of the nearby places and roads seen (Pallavur, Alathur etc.). Shall edit later when new image is captured.
