Pločica (Serbian Cyrillic: Плочица) is a village in Serbia. It is situated in the Kovin municipality, in the South Banat District, Vojvodina province. The village has a Serb ethnic majority and a population numbering 2,044 people (2002 census).

  • Ploschitz or Blauschütz, as it is called in German had also a substantial German population of 1300 persons, as it was part of the Österreichische Militärgrenze. When the communist partisans took power in October 1944 they arrested and imprisoned all the local Germans. Many of them were killed in a sadistic manner. As a consequence of this the village has today an ethnically Serbian population.
