The Ericsson Globe Arena, nicknamed "Globen", is located at Stockholm Globe City in Johanneshov, Stockholm. With the shape of a large white sphere, it has a diameter of 100 m (361 ft) and a height of 79 m (285 ft). Designed by Berg Arkitektkontor AB, it was constructed from September 1986 to February 1989 and has an all-seater capacity of 13,850. Ericsson has held naming rights to the Globe Arena since 2009. It represents the Sun in the Sweden Solar System.

The Globe Arena is a host of various concerts and shows. Notable events held at the Globe Arena include the 1989 European Men's Volleyball Championships, the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1989, 1995, 2012, and 2013, the 1996 European Indoor Athletics Championships, the World Men's Floorball Championships in 1996 and 2006, the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest, the 2002 European Men's Handball Championship, and the 2003 European Men's Basketball Championship.

In February 2010, a funicular railway, Skyview, opened. It is attached to the west side of the Globe Arena.
