The steam loco shed/TPJ was a land mark till 1993. Demolished. The great days in which people loved to work and enjoy life. Loco foremen looked like lions and tigers in their work yet good at heart. more than 1000 people used to work there including coal yard and the crew booking depot, Past glory. A memorial stone may be planted.

  • So sad, is there any steam loco shed/yard left near tiruchy where one can find the engines housed, apart from the one which is there at entrance of TPJ JN. Plese help as I am going to Tiruchy (in 2 weeks time) to just see those black beauties which once ruled our Indian Railway.
