Central Pavilion - Adminsitrative and Research Areas Museum of Natural History (Building 7) (New York City, New York)
World / USA / New Jersey / West New York World / United States / New York
Directly north of the original Building 1, this section was originally supposed to have featured a grand, central tower, which never came to fruition. Completed in 1899 and designed by Cady, Berg & See, Building 7 instead was built as a 2-story lecture hall, clad in granite and brick. The lower level now features an IMAX theater, as well as the Small Mammals exhibit. Above are the exhibits for New York State Mammals and New York City Birds.
