GO Transit bus and train station. The station was necessary to accommodate for the rapidly growing communities of both Newmarket and East Gwillimbury commuting to Toronto. Built on Green Lane, this station allows commuters to bypass the downtown Newmarket area. Green Lane was dramatically improved and expanded in order to handle the new loads, and now forms a "Newmarket Bypass" from Highway 404 on the east to Young Street on the west.
