Originally, the Birds Park has only one dome, built in 1975 and officially opened on August 19, 1976. Yet, afterwards it has been developed to nine domes which were officially opened on April 27, 1987. The Birds Park is situated at the back-part of the TMII area, next to the Science and Technology Exhibition Centre, occupying a 6 hectares wide area, including public facilities in the form of a quite capacious and shady parking lot.
