Officially opened on the 11th of November 2006.
Called Southern Strand, it is made up of 16 cross-shaped vertical bronze standards - some up to 4.5m high, and all decorated with words, patterns and small sculptures representing aspects of New Zealand life.
It will be at the eastern end of the roundabout at the junction of Piccadilly and Park Lane.
The design was chosen from a short list of 12, and is by the New Zealand sculptor Paul Dibble, working with architect John Hardwick-Smith.
