Bleecker Suites (New York City, New York)

8-story residential building completed in 2004. The original, shorter structure was built as a theater in 1917, and was the home of the Amato Opera from 1948-1959, when Circle in the Square Theater opened here. The theater was demolished in 2004 and the building was rebuilt to a design to Eugene K. Schafer, with new upper floors containing furnished apartments for monthly rental.

The facade is clad in beige brick, with the ground floor in red brick with various brickwork ornaments. The windows are in triple casements, two groups to each side, linked by pairs of white metal balconies on the 3rd-5th floors. The facade narrows from four to two bays wide at the 7th floor, with balconies on either side. The ground floor is occupied by The Market NYC Local Artists & Designers. The residential building entrance is at the left side, with a grid of black metal and glass panels.
