Nusle Bridge (Czech: Nuselský most) is a two-level bridge, 485 m long and approx. 40 m high, across Nusle Valley. On the top is a highway to Brno (plus two sidewalks for pedestrians), inside run subway trains (Metro). It was constructed in 1973 as Klement Gottwald Bridge (named after the first Communist President 1948-53).
Due to its height, it has attracted many suicides (approx. 300 people since the opening until 2006). To prevent them, high fences were installed along the sidewalks in 1990s.
