I born in Ambota. After my high schooling in GHS-Ambota, I settle down in Delhi. The fregrance of the soil of my village never been forgotten. The sweet memories to draw water from "Do Simbal Khoo" about 80 feet, to cut the grass from beli & jungle,to cross khudds in barsat, sweet memories and mischiefs with my fellow-colleagues always round around me. My Ist-class teacher, Sh.Jagat Ram (from Joh) and Master Kishan Singh (from Ghanari) up to 5th, the teachers:S/Sh.Sudarshan Datt, Babu Ram, Ram Prakash Shastri etc. are the most respectful for me even today. God knows, if I will meet my child-hood friends ever. My heartist regards to all my friends in the village.

Would u know anyone in Ambota / Gagret who remembers a man called Mr. Hiranand / Hiralal Sangra .He had three brothers named Naiyaram or Nikkaram, Kanaiyaram and Roshanlal. One of these brothers had a son called Hariya who lived to a ripe old age of nearly 100. There are two daughters by name Satya who still stays in Ambota and one daughter called Sitto who is married and possibly in Satya possibly still runs a small pottery shop there and she is really old now. Mr. Hiranand / Hiralal used to look after the temple near the pond. He was a BHU graduate , well versed in hill herbs and medicine and was called punditji. Hiranand / Hiralal had two sons one called Gopaldas Sangra who worked as a postmaster and one called Prakashchand. Prakashchand was married to Brahmi devi and they had three sons and one daughter Rani most of them are now staying in Hoshiarpur but possibly a relative called Joginder Singh is a tenant in the ancestoral home. Hiranand's younger son, Gopaldas was married to Utmi and they both died in 1934 leaving behind a 4 year son called Avtarkrishna. Hiranand also had a sister who may have some children / grandson who may still be alive. Would it be possible for u to give me some news of this family and if possible post a photo of any of these persons their descendants, village and homes of these families. Will be deeply grateful.
