("Thank You for the possibility to tell that during those days of Setmebre 8, 1943 when my Uncle, Generale ferrante Gonzaga del Vodice, was along the Salerno Coasts with His Soldiers - isolated and abandoned from the broken Italian Government - they were sorrounded by the German Army and as He refused to lay down the arms He was killed. He never met his delightful girl Isabella.
His Wife was in Rome, in those days in state of seige with the other two Boys Maurizio and Corrado in a town where there was great difficulties to survive.
