Gilchrist Hall was originally built in 1925. It underwent renovation in 1998. It houses 229 students. Anyone can stay in Gilchrist Hall, but some spaces are reserved for use as overflow from the Honors Program, which mainly operates in Landis Hall next door.
Named after Governor Albert W. Gilchrist. Gilchrist County in North Central Florida is also named for Governor Gilchrist.
