Since 2004, the fifteen story building has been home to the Hylant Group, one of the largest privately held insurance brokerage firms in the United States with offices in five Mid-western states. Hylant offers risk management, commercial, property and casualty, franchise/association programs and personal insurance services. Hylant's offices occupy floors 7 - 13 of the building.

Designed by Skidmore Owens & Merrill as the headquarters of glassmaker Libbey-Owens-Ford, the International Style building, constructed in 1960, was the first highrise building erected in downtown Toledo in 30 years. The building, standing in its own plaza, made generous use of the company's chief product throughout. Essentially a glass box on pillars, even the spandrels below the windows are made of Vitrolux glass.

In 1986, LOF sold the building, its glass making operations and its name to British based Pilkington, which still retains its North American headquarters in the building. Pursuant to an agreement made to keep the Pilkington offices in downtown Toledo, the City of Toledo acquired the building in 1993. The City later sold it to Hylant. In 2004, Pilkington was purchased by Tokyo based NSG (Nippon Sheet Glass) Group but continues to use the name Pilkington.
