  • Bella Vista, the old John Barrymore estate (purchased from King Vidor and then expanded on wildly over the years) is NOT the same estate that was demolished by Jon Peters. (The demolished estate is at 9941 Tower Lane. It was built for King Vidor & Eleanor Boardman by Wallace Neff, and there is no trace of it left.) Most of the Barrymore Bella Vista estate is still there, divided and "updated", but the many rambling buildings are still there including the one which once was the famed Barrymore aviary.
