This picturesque pocket park, a popular location for wedding photographs, was initally developed by Labatts and for years was known as the Labatts Garden. Labatts owned the brewery that was once located across the street nearer to the river. When Labatts withdrew operations from the city, Mitchell's Gourmet Foods took over maintenance of the graden and erected a statue in memory of long-standing businessman Fred Mitchell.
