The first ever scheme of the Lahore city launched by the Government for the Journalist working in the different news papers. During Bhutto Government 1971-77 an area known as Allam Iqbal Town Lahore was established and a block for the Journalist was reserved which is known as Jahanzeb block . The present scheme is situated near Harbanspura. The Lahore Canal also passes near the scheme.
