  My family lived at the above address 1959 to 2003. The housing colny was originally called Gareeb Nagar for the poor people who lived there before the housing board colony was built. In 1958 the name was changed to Prakasam Nagar in memory of Tanguturi Prakasam- "the lion among freedom fighters".
