  • This is the National Museum of Rome. It was uncrowded and very intimate during our visit in September, 2006. The Roman antiquity art is fantastic, especially the mosaics, statuary, and jewlery. See my pictures. Truly a great museum in Rome. Admission cost here allows for admission to its branch museum in a large villa near Piazza Navonna. There are many worthwile sites in this neighborhood. Access is easy with two Metro stops and Terminii Train Station here.
