RDU Observation Deck

Public observation deck at RDU International Airport. This deck is an excellent location to view planes take off and land on runway 23L/5R. You can also see the occasional helicopter land across the street near the private hangers. There is a playground for children and also a mini version of the runway in the grass that kids can play on. Picnic tables are also available. When standing up on the deck you can hear the air traffic controllers talk to the planes over a loud speaker.
